Method #12

My favorite discovery on this journey was learning about Flickr, which I'll use for myself.

I plan on discussing several of the topics, including FaceBook with my staff. So many of these topics would be useful for our library - if only we had the staff to monitor and update them.

I would definitely choose to participate in something like this again. After all, the price was right, and the topics were relevant and timely.

Thanks to all!

Method # 11 podcasts

I listened to An Idiom a Day and thought that might be a useful reference for our ESL students. Not sure my library will do podcasts - we have many other things to work on such as a FaceBook page, etc., right now.

Method 10 Wikis

We use PBWiki in my library and find it to be quite useful for maintaining our policies directory.

Method 8 social networks

Very interesting info was presented. I'm glad to learn about Group pages for Facebook. That's what we need in the library world.

Security and privacy issues are important. I hope never to be featured on a YouTube or other video!

Twitter is a good possibility for the library also. I like Twitter search, although I see how it could indeed become a full time job for someone.

Method 7

Delicious looks very interesting. I intend to use it for myself.

My library is behind on the use of Web 2.0 tools - we have problems coordinating their use. Maybe we need a Web 2.0 leader?

Method # 6

Sledding in Minnesota, YouTube This brings back many happy memories from childhood.

I can't believe this worked! I'll be adding many videos to my future blogs and presentations.

I'm ready to set up a Flickr account. So many things to do, but this I can do on my laptop at home in a comfy chair.
